Since Oct. 25th I have been trying to get my hands on a copy of this book without having to order it on line. NO WHERE in my area does ONE store carry this book and it is really making me mad. I call a list of stores daily since it's release. Being both a fan of these two men and at least two of the ladies mentioned in this book, I would really like to find out more information about things I have been reading on line and in this fansite. Can someone please tell me (who has read this book) did he actually have an affair with Gloria Dehaven and during what years did this seem to take place? Was it a one time deal for an on going thing? Are there many details concerning this affair in the book? Inquiring minds NEED TO KNOW!!!!! I live in Kokomo Indiana and will be moving to Morgantown, WV on the 10th so ordering this book would have to wait till I move. I am not a patient person and really would like some information if someone out there doesn't mind giving it to me. THANKS

So thats the problem. You live in Kokomo! teehee.gif
Actually it seems like the affair was a one time thing if you consider a fling over a month or so a one time thing. It doesnt sound like it happened again with them. And I believe its around 1948 or 1949. It really doesnt give much insight into the actual affair. It just says they didn't care who saw them around town but there was hell to pay when he got back home from NY. It sounds like it was the first time he cheated on his wife. But Gloria is not the one who gave him the crabs. blink.gif

Thanks a millions for filling me in on a few details. I know that June Allyson was also said to be mentioned in the book. Guess this sort of things happened a lot back then ( I am sure it still does today) among the "stars". Some stars don't mind letting the world know this happened in their lives......others are taking it to their graves. I do kind of feel sorry for the families of these people who had to live through this once and now years later are reliving it in print. Doesn't change my mind about what I think of them as actors. They still made me laugh and enjoy their movies.............their personal lives just make them that more interesting and human. No one is perfect..............NOT EVEN IN KOKOMO, JOE548!!!! newroll.gif Really appreciate you info......anyone else got anything to add????? typing.gif
