With DEAN & ME coming out in just a month................has anyone heard anything about a book tour?

I was fortunate enough to meet Jerry at a signing for his former publicist's book here in San Diego in July 2002. Jerry was extremely playful with the crowd, not only signing his pal's book (Jerry wrote the foreword), but speaking to, and clowning with everyone who came down with all kinds of Jerry memorabilia......and graciously signing that stuff as well.

If there's a book tour, we should be able to catch Jerry on...... Late Show w/ David Letterman, Live w/Regis & Kelly, and maybe even Oprah ?

Don't see him on Oprah, he's never been on, probably never will be. Probably with Regis, Letterman, The View and Larry King. Probably a book signing in NY and LA. Some print interviews. MKraus

Jerry on Oprah.... HA. There would be a definate clash of personalities there. Jerry would probably end up walking off, seriously.

Yes, it's hard to imagine Jerry going on the Oprah show, but stranger things have happened. (In my life, anyway!) It would be an interesting surprise. gasp.gif

If you can't see the above link, basically it says that Jerry will be giving a talk at the Philadelphia Central Library at
1901 Vine Street
Philadelphia, PA 19103
(between 19th and 20th Streets on the Parkway) and one would presume be signing books though it doesn't specifically say that. But that's all it says. can't find any other live links. Maybe someone has to call on the phone?

That first message in this chain was from ebay, someone selling a book that is to be autographed that day by Jerry.

I love the description of him below. NOW he's the chairman of the MDA?

Actor Jerry Lewis’s rubber-faced characters in such films as The Nutty Professor and The King of Comedy earned him recognition as one of the great physical comics of all time. Now this Nobel Peace Prize nominee is chairman of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and presides at its annual telethon. His new book, Dean & Me, recounts his fifty-year relationship with his comedic partner and lifelong friend, Dean Martin.

BTW, Boob, thanks for your good wishes. I was indeed on the other site wih you all. Best; Mkraus

JL is, indeed, the National Chairman of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He has been for quite some time, over fifty years, I think.
