Well - it's about time!!

I also hope that you guys stick with me here as well as there. You guys are the life of this site and without you it's worthless so please know you're very appreciated. About Telethon weekend, I will take a vote and see if everyone would like a chat room or a basic chat thread we can follow throughout the entire 21 hour show.

It is very nice to see that the old site is getting some life back into it.

I hope they update the video clips or at least fix them so they work, and that they update all the information on Jerry since it's quite outdated back to 1997 - 1998.

Any positive Jerry media is wonderful.

Wow! This is Great. I've been waiting for this to become active again only for the Bits and Clips part tho.

This really isn't news. Somebody mentioned this previously. I've been going over there a couple of times a week to check out what people are saying. Some of it is quite interesting. But, I won't post there because you have to make your e-mail address public, and I don't like that. Just my opinion. There's not much activity, just 84 posts, with few replies, as of this morning, since March 8.

I agree with José. It would be nice if they'd update the info about JL. Any positive JL site is wonderful, and I would encourage people to use all of them!

The museum store does have a few videos, but we can find them on our own. I think at one time it had other things for sale, but that was before my time! Most of the clips, etc. haven't worked since the first time I went there in September, 2003.

About the chat room, Lee's probably right, and I can say, "endorsments for book." According to the archives for the chat room, it hasn't been used since 1998, but maybe it is going to become active again. I hope so for the sake of those who want to use it! I registered, just to check it out, but I'm really not interested in live chat, here or there. Now, I wish I hadn't registered, because I can't find the archives. Drat! I don't have anything against chat rooms, per se, it's just that they're too confining for me.

Anyway, I started out on the official site and will still visit it as long as it is up. I remember when Scott had his site up, there seemed to be some jealousy (not on Scott's part), but I never did understand that. The more JL sites, the better!!!

It's too late to make a long story short, but this is home base for me, now, and my Telethon night will be spent between here and the television set!
Whatever you decide to do on Telethon night, don't forget to donate if you can!

I wouldn't even think of leaving here. Its always good to check out the other sites and see whats happening. But as for the official site, the board is pretty dreary. Its not the same set-up as this one, so I like this one better!
As far as Chris Lewis is concerned, he didnt run the site properly before and he probably wont run it properly still! If anyone knows whats happening to JL, it would be Chris. A short note periodically about his health or tv appearances would always be appreciated but that never happened. Once the store closed for personally signed merchandise, the site went downhill.
The closest thing to listing something happening is that it says he will be on Bravo in Sept!

I'd like to add that the people who post a message directly to JL or to Chris Lewis are sadly misinformed. I bet JL never even looks at the site. I heard him say on LKL and on another program that he doesn't like computers and doesn't fool with e-mail. Then another time, he did mention his official site but said something about it that was in error. Sad. I know he's busy, but his fans made him, so it seems that he could spend an hour a week/month reading the messages.

I have realplayer and when I try to play clips off of the official jerry lewis site it won't work. Why is that? Someone please help me because i want to see the clips really bad.

There's probably nothing wrong with your real player, so there's nothing you can do. The clips just don't work and haven't for years. I guess they did once. Too bad, huh? I'd like to see them, too.
