Hello
I am new to this forum. For the past year I have obtained a multitude of JL & JL/DM movies a few old movie posters from the 50's and I've read books on Jerry and Dean. I would really love to see the Martin & Lewis movie with Sean Hayes. Does anyone know how I could obtain a copy of the movie? I liked Jerry Lewis movies as a kid in the 60's and watched the telethon, but it's like I've rediscovered him this past year after reading Dean and Me. Thanks
Davide
For a copy of the German documentary "Jerry Lewis - König der Komödianten" try to contact Mr. Eckart Schmidt ESchmidt@raphaela-film.de at http://www.raphaela-film.de/ .

Good luck!

J-Hi.gif Teddy, and welcome to the board! I thought I'd found a copy of the movie on amazon.com, but it turns out the title is not available. http://www.amazon.com/Martin-Lewis-3-Pack-...y/dp/6305121567 They suggest checking back once in a while, but I seriously doubt it'll show up. The only other thing I can think of is to write to CBS and see if there's any way to buy a copy through them. Unless, of course, someone has one and would be willing to copy it for you. I never thought to record it when it was on. Sorry.
jerry.gif Hi, Davide! Long time, no see. Hope you're doing okay.

Hi Boobalack,
I think we are referring to two different things: you got this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0318908/ while I saw this great documentary http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0793535/ .
All the best,
Davide

I re-tried to watch the TV movie (that I have on DVD-R) with Sean Hayes as JL and Jeremy Northan as DM: also this time I couldn't endure the enterprise for over half hour. Too awful acting, especially by Hayes, a really embarassing movie.

Davide, I wasn't that impressed with the movie, either. We had quite a discussion here http://www.jerrylewisfans.com/index.php?showtopic=185 for those who either haven't seen it or want to refresh their memory.

Davide, we sure did have a really deep discussion about the TV movie, with people offering their opinions. In the main, I think it was a disapointment, probobly due to it being a rushed project.
Gerry.

For Davide: Is the documentary "Jerry Lewis - König der Komödianten", that as I understand should be very interesting, comprehensible also for people not speaking German (are there lots of parts in English)? Sergio

I have contacted CBS and Raphaela.

I think it should be understandable (I speak German better than English): the excerpts and the interviews are all in English with German subtitles.
