  1. And little known fact he hosted the 1976 National Easter Seal Telethon, and according to TV listings Alan Alda appeared ... (I think these photos are from 1975 when he appeared, and Wayne Rogers and Peter Falk were close friends)

  3. Eydie Gorme Dead at 84

I wonder if this is the trio, one member was from Puerto Rico, two from Mexico. Gorme was a Sephardic Jew (Jews who lived in Spain for many generations) which today is a smaller minority to Eastern European Jews (Ashkenazi). It's weird because just Friday night I was at a Sephardic synagogue and the rabbi (who will be saying Kaddish for his father next week) was talking about the difference between the kaddish (the prayer a Jew says for a loved one daily for eleven months following that person's death, and then annually on the anniversary), and he was specifically talking about the differences in the prayer between Sephardic and Ashkenazi customs.

  10. Don Pardo's last SNL was 5/16

This past weekend's season finale of SNL was Don Pardo's last, according to Pardo himself. This has flown under the radar screen other than a reference in a trade publication discussed in the message board thread below: http://boards.radio-info.com/smf/index.php...c,126641.0.html
